
Yuri Matsuura

Yuri has over 20 years of multi-disciplinary experience in the areas of finance, law, international relations and migration and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. Yuri regularly works with clients across 5 continents, advising on a wide range of matters including the current domestic housing crisis to multi-million dollar cross border investment projects.
Yuri has worked almost exclusively with women throughout her career, having either experienced or witnessed first-hand the devastating effects of domestic violence, isolation, homelessness, substance abuse, mental illness, racism and sexism. She is a passionate advocate for equal access to justice and social services for all those in need.
Yuri is a signatory to the National Pro Bono Target and a member of the International Bar Association. She served as one of the Founding Directors on the Board of the Women's Village Collective, a not for profit organisation formed to help women facing or experiencing housing insecurity, homelessness, poverty or intergenerational poverty, and advocates for a better future for all women and children at risk, including the organisations that serve them.
Yuri brings with her a unique combination of personal and professional experience, allowing her to identify and address critical issues quickly and respectfully for both internal and external stake holders on a wide range of international and domestic issues.
